초록
Superabsorbent polymers are capable of storing and retaining a significant amount of water relativeto their weight. They are used in a wide range of industries, including sanitation, agriculture, and construction, andare experiencing ever-increasing demand. Superabsorbent polymers, particularly in fiber form, are being activelyresearched due to their advantages in both processing and absorption. However, conventional manufacturing methodshave certain drawbacks, such as the need for initiators and crosslinkers, complex processes, and difficulties inachieving uniform polymerization. In this study, we produced superabsorbent fibers with varying absorption levelsusing PAN fbiers and electron beam irradiation technology and analyzed the resulting chemical structure changesusing XPS and FTIR. We also compared the absorption performance of fibers prepared under different solventconditions and prepared superabsorbent fibers with a high yield of hydrophilic groups.
