Perception Level of Health Care Professionals on Legislation of Acts for Advanced Practice Nurses’ Roles in Korea

Purpose: This study aimed to explore perception level of health care professionals on legislation for advanced practice nurses’roles focusing and practice acts. Methods: The 173 participants in this study were medical specialists and clinical nurses in one territory and two general hospitals. Results: Health care professionals expressed positive perceptions of the legislative acts for advanced practice nurses’roles. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Health care professionals expressed positive cognition of the legislative acts for advanced practice nurses’roles. Conclusions: The findings indicate that the importance, satisfaction and contribution of advanced practice nurses’acts, and legislation of their roles are recognized. Indicate a need for further development of advanced practice nurses’roles to overcome the gaps identified through this research.
