Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate a scale measuring learner satisfaction with AI-based adaptive learning in higher educa tion. Through literature review, six sub-factors were identified(Educational Effectiveness, Instructor Support, Learner Disposition, System Functionality, System Adaptivity, and Learning Engagement). Content validity was established through evaluation by six educational technology experts, and construct validity and reliability were tested with 290 university students who had experienced AI-based adaptive learning. Exploratory factor analysis yielded a KMO value of .727 with statistically significant Bartlett’s test (p < .001), while confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated satisfactory model fit indices (CMIN/D F= 2.55, GFI= .90, NFI = .90, TLI = .90, CFI = .90, SRMR = .11, RMSEA = .06). The overall Cronbach’s α was .93, with subscale reliability ranging from .72 to .92. The validated measurement instrument provides essential evidence for assessing the effectiveness of AI-based adaptive learning systems. This study supports to the enhancement of educational quality and the implementation of learner-centered educational environments.
