지역사회 주민의 치매지식, 치매에 대한 태도 및 행동의도 간의 관계

초록

본 연구는 지식-태도-행동(KAB) 모델과 치매에 대한 인식과 행동 간의 관계에 관한 선행연구들을바탕으로 치매지식, 치매에 대한 태도 및 치매 환자에 대한 행동의도 간의 관계를 밝히고자 시도되었다. 2016년 춘천 지역주민 700명을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사자료를 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여검증하였다. 연구결과 치매지식이 행동의도에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았고, 치매지식수준이 높아질수록 치매에 대한 인지적 태도를 매개로 치매환자에 대한 부정적 행동의도를 감소시켰다. 그런데 통제변수를 투입한 경우, 치매지식수준이 높을수록 부정적인 정서적⋅행동적 태도가 증가하고, 이로 인해 부정적 행동의도도 증가함이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과를 통해 치매지식이 태도의 유형에따라 행동의도에 미치는 영향이 다름을 확인하였다. 따라서 치매지식이 정서적⋅행동적 태도에 따라 미치는 영향을 고려한 치매교육과 홍보가 이루어져야 함을 제언하였다.

Abstract

This study attempted to verify the relationship among knowledge, attitude and behavioral intention of residents regarding dementia and dementia patients. The research model was proposed based on the Knowledgeattitude- behavioral Model and previous researches. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was employed on the data collected from 700 residents in Chuncheon, South Korea. The results showed that the direct effect of dementia knowledge on behavioral intention was not statistically significant. It was also found that dementia knowledge reduced a negative behavioral intention indirectly through a rather positive cognitive attitude on dementia. However, in the model with a control variable, dementia knowledge was found to increase a negative behavioral intention indirectly through a more negative affective and behavioral attitude towards dementia. The results suggested dementia education and outreach campaigns for constructing a dementiafriendly environment which incorporate differential impacts of dementia knowledge.
