퍼머넌트 웨이브 시술시 황칠나무 잎 트리트먼트가 모발에 미치는 효과

본 연구에서는 황칠나무잎 에탄올 추출물과 열수 추출물을 첨가하여 트리트먼트를 제조하여, 일반트리트먼트와 전처리제 로 사용하여 황칠나무잎 추출물이 모발에 어떠한 영향을 미치 는가를 알아보기 위하여 웨이브 효율성, 인장강도 및 신도, 모표 피관찰을 1,000배율과 20,000배율로 측정하였다. 그 결과 대조 군의 웨이브 효율은 39.08±0.44%로 나타났으며, GP는 36.88± 0.27%, DW는 45.30±0.49%, DE는 46.80±0.55%으로 가장 높 게 나타났으며 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다 (p<0.001). 인장강도 측정결과 대조군의 인장강도는 99.15±14.67 gf/mm2 으로 가장 낮게 측정되었으며, GP의 인장강도는 103.45±11.76 gf/mm2, DW가 104.58±10.31 gf/mm2, DE는 115±12.81 gf/ mm2 순으로 나타나 유의한 차이를 보였다 (p<0.05). 인장신도 의 측정결과 실험 전 모발은 198±30.11%의 인장신도를 나타냈으며, 대조군의 인장신도는 166.17±33.42%로 측정되어 가 장 낮게 측정되었고, GP의 인장신도는 176.22±13.61%, DE는 181.50±37.59%, DW는 186.54±13.84%으로 측정되었다. 모 표피의 두께를 측정한 결과 대조군의 모표피 두께는 315.40± 17.23 nm로 부분적으로 들뜸 현상이 나타나고 스케일이 뚜렷 하지 않았다. 반면 헤어트리트먼트를 전처리한 실험군은 GP는 365.82±20.25 nm, DW는 430.33±28.24, DE는 462.19±8.26 nm 순으로 높게 측정되었으며, 집단 간의 유의한 차이를 보였 다 (p<0.001). 이상의 결과 트리트먼트를 적용하지 않고 펌을 시술한 대조 군의 모발 손상이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 일반트리트먼트에 비 해 황칠나무잎 트리트먼트가 모발손상을 완화시키는 효과가 높 은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 황칠나무잎 에탄올 추출물을 첨가한 트리트먼트가 펌 시술 시 전처리제로서 가장 효과가 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 미용 산업현장에서 모발관리를 위한 전처리제품으로 활용가능성이 높을 것이라 사료된다
Abstract
In this study, in the permanent hair waving procedure, Dendropanax morbifera leaf extract treatment and general treatment were used for preconditioning and their effects on hair were compared. The waving efficiency of the D. morbifera leaf ethanol extract (DE) was significantly higher in the experimental group (46.80±0.55%) than in the control group (p<0.001). The tensile strength after DE treatment was also significantly higher (115±12.81 gf/mm2, p<0.05). The tensile strength after treatment with D. morbifera leaf hot-water extract (DW) was high (186.54±13.84%) but did not differ significantly from that after general treatment. Cuticle thickness after DE treatment was significantly higher in the experimental group (462.19±8.26 nm) than in the control group (p<0.001). The results of this study show that, in comparison with general treatment, D. morbifera leaf treatment improves waving efficiency and reduces hair damage. In particular, D. morbifera leaf ethanol extract was found to have the higher treatment effect.
