초록

In this study, we have observed the fine structure of the foundation and powder used in the base makeup by using scanning electron microscopy. Particles of the liquid foundation were dispersed evenly and homogeneously. Titanium oxides added to the foundation were spherical shape and measured 15㎛ in diameter. Also, iron oxides were particles of rod type in about 0.5㎛ diameter. Several sized powdery particles were mixed evenly, observed in scanning electron microscopy. Surface of the powder were completely spherical particles of about 4㎛ diameter. Talc had elongated polyhedral type of the length about 4∼5㎛ and its surface was uneven. We put a base makeup a person's face and the foundation and the powder in order and waited for a while. Then we scratched the face skin with a keen razor and observed using scanning electron microscopy. Cosmetic lump was kneaded with the sweat and sebum secreted from the skin. We could find easily big sized titanium oxides and talcs and iron oxides in the mixed cosmetic lump.
