초록
This study was conducted to analyze the mediating effect of dysfunctional career thinking in the relationship between career barriers and Career adaptability as perceived by students majoring in beauty. Using the self-written questionnaire method from July 20 to August 19, 2024, 240 college students majoring in beauty were surveyed. Final analysis data included 231 surveys, excluding 9 surveys which did not meet inclusion criteria. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and three-step mediated multiple regression analysis were conducted using the SPSS Ver. 26.0 (IBM, USA) program. The research results found that career barriers of students majoring in beauty strengthened dysfunctional career thinking, and also had a negative effect on career adaptability. It was found that dysfunctional career thinking had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between career barriers and career adaptability. In summary, it was found that high recognition of career barriers increased dysfunctional thinking and weakened career adaptability. These research results confirmed that career barriers and dysfunctional career thinking are important variables that affect career adaptability. Moreover, it is believed that our results can serve as baseline data that can contribute to measures to overcome and weaken career barriers and strategic career counseling measures that can promote career adaptability.
