The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of pair work during TOEIC classes on students' English grammar learning focusing on part 5 of TOEIC. The number of target students is 60 and they are divided into four groups; two groups of the first grade university students and the other two are the second grade students. In each group, one has 30 minute pair work every class but the other has no pair work at all. The total experimental period is one semester over 12 weeks and during the period, the students take TOEIC part 5 grammar tests three times: one time at the beginning of the class before they start the pair work and two times at the end of the semester. After the experiment, the results show that the pair work indeed influences the students' grammar learning positively. The group of students who have experienced pair work shows better achievement and understanding in TOEIC part 5 questions.
