본 연구의 목적은 충남공공디자인공모전의 특성을 분석하고, 공공디자인 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 연구방법은 관련문헌을 통해 공공디자인 공모전 사례와 충남 공공디자인 공모전의 특성을 내용분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 충남 공공디자인 공모전은 6회가 되는 초기 단계의 공모전인데, 매년 충청남도의 시와 군을 돌아가면서 개최되기 때문에 지역의 특성이 많이 반영되는 특징이있다. 둘째, 입상작의 분야는 버스정류장이 가장 많았고, 공공공간도 꾸준히 증가하고 있었다. 셋째, 입상작의 컨셉은 개최지역의 특성과 자연적인 요소가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 서울시와 대전시 공공디자인공모전과 비교한 결과, 수상작을 실제로 제작하여 시민이 직접 사용할 수 있도록 하는 것은 적극 활용할 필요가 있다고 판단되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of ‘Chungnam public designcompetition' and to seek public design revitalization. This study was carried out by using theliterature review on aspects of public design and case study on chungnam public designcompetition. The results were as follows. First, ‘Chungnam public design competition' is the earlystages and it is reflected a lot of characteristics of the Chungnam area. Second, the parts of thewinning entry were the bus stop and public spaces were also steadily increasing. Third, theconcepts of the winning entry were characteristics of the host region and the natural elements. Fourth, as a result of comparison with Seoul and Daejeon public design competition, it was foundvery important that citizens can directly use winning work at public space.
