초록

과학기술의 발전으로 촉발된 4차 산업혁명은 산업을 변화시킬 뿐 아니라 경제 및 사회체제 전반에 충격을 가하고 있다. 현재 4차 산업혁명의 영향은 긍정적 측면과 부정적 측면을 함께 지니고 있다. 이 연구는 전통적인 신학교육에 도전하는 4차 산업혁명의 특징과 시사점을 검토함으로써 결정적인 변화와 위기에 직면한 신학교육에 새로운 방향을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 삼고 있다. 이를 위해서 일차적으로는 클라우스 슈밥(Klaus Schwab)이 주도한 다보스포럼에서 논의된 4차 산업혁명의 개념과 특징을 개략적으로 살펴본다. 4차 산업혁명을 검토하는 과정에서 그 성격과 영향이 비교적 명확하게 규정될 수 있다. 계속해서 4차 산업혁명의 진행에 따른 본격적인 변화를 교육을 중심으로 살펴보고 나서 최근의 혁신학교들, 즉 온라인과 오프라인 공간을 결합한 미네르바스쿨(Minerva School)과 온라인 원격교육을 실시하는 MOOCs의 사례를 집중적으로 논의한다. 결론적으로, 4차 산업혁명과 그것에 대한 전반적인 논의를 종합해서 향후 신학교육의 방향을 제시한다.

Abstract

The 4th Industrial Revolution, triggered by scientific technology, changes the industry and further impacts the economic and social systems. The impact of 4th Industrial Revolution has both positive and negative aspects. This study aims to propose new directions for theological education in the face of decisive changes and crises by examining the characteristics and implications of 4th Industrial Revolution, which challenges traditional theological education. To this end, we first outline the concepts and features of the 4th Industrial Revolution, discussed at the Davos Forum(2012), led by Klaus Schwab. In reviewing the 4th Industrial Revolution, its nature and impact can be defined relatively clearly. We will continue to look at the full‐scale changes of the 4th Industrial Revolution, focusing on education, and the recent innovation schools, namely the Minerva School, which combines online and offline spaces, and MOOCs which conducts online distance education respectively. In conclusion, the 4th Industrial Revolution and the overall discussion of its practical cases are combined to propose some directions for future theological education.
