사회과 법교육 교수학습 방법에 관한 연구

학교 법교육이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 적절한 내용과 함께 효과적인 교수학습 방법이 필요하다는 기본 인식에서 출발한 본 연구는 법교육에 관한 구체적 교수학습 방법들을 체계화하여 소개하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 지금까지 연구, 개발, 활용되고 있는 법교육 학습 방법들을 소개하고 유형화하였다. 아울러 사례 연구법, 시뮬레이션, 역할놀이, 모의재판, 지역사회 기반 학습 등의 학습 방법들의 의미, 장점, 절차 및 예시, 유의점 등을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 본 연구는 법교육 방법론의 보급을 위해 교원양성대학과 법무부, 교육과학기술부 등 유관기관들이 법교육 방법에 대한 다양한 경험을 할 수 있는 교육 및 연수기회를 제공해야 하며, 사회과를 비롯한 여러 교과교육의 교수학습 방법들을 법교육에 활용하는 방안을 개발하며, 현장 교사들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 법교육 방법 매뉴얼을 제작하여 보급할 것을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study stemmed from a basic recognition that it is necessary to prepare appropriate contents and effective teaching-learning methods for effective law-related education in school, and, thus, aims to systemize and introduce detailed teaching and learning methods concerning law- related education. This study looked into the reality of teaching-learning methods that have been utilized during the teaching and learning of law-related education through research into teachers' perception, and introduced and classified teaching-learning methods for law-related education, which have been studied, developed, and utilized in the USA and Canada. This study suggested the meaning, strengths, procedures and examples of teaching-learning methods including case study methods, simulation, role playing, mock trials, and community- based learning, in detail. This study may propose the following. First, it is necessary to offer the opportunity to gain diverse experiences about teaching-learning methods for law-related education at the universities of teacher education, and to help teachers learn and acquire teaching-learning methods for law- related education through various training for teachers. Second, We need to utilize teaching -learning methods involving a social studies curriculum as them of law-related education. Third, it is required to prepare for school teachers and distribute to them, manuals for teaching- learning methods regarding law-related education.
