본 연구는 초등학교 실과 다문화 체험학습 프로그램을 개발한 다음, 이를 초등학생에게 적용하여 효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 선정된 연구 대상 학생들에게 8차시에 걸쳐 실과 다문화교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 사전ㆍ사후 검사지를 이용하여 수집된 자료들을 이용한 연구 검증은 SPSS 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 그리고 정량적 분석을 보완하기 위하여 정성적 질문지와 학생들의 포트폴리오를 통해 정성적 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실과 다문화 교육과정 모형은 1차원은 교육과정 유형, 2차원은 교육과정 접근, 그리고 3차원은 교육과정 내용으로 설정하였다. 둘째, 실과 다문화 체험학습 프로그램은 주제 선정, 교수ㆍ학습 지도안 개발, 그리고 학생용 워크북을 개발하여 현장 교사에 대한 조사 연구와 전문가의 자문을 받아 수정하고 보완하였다. 셋째, 개발된 프로그램은 초등학생에게 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였으며, 검증 결과 모든 자료에서 유의한 차가 나타났다. 결론적으로 초등학교 실과 다문화 체험학습 프로그램은 학생들에게 다문화에 대한 이해를 높이는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 프로그램의 개선을 위한 보다 심층적인 연구와 교수ㆍ학습 활동에 관한 후속 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develope the multicultural education program in elementary school practical arts education. The methods of this study were literature review, evaluation of practical arts experts, and field test. On the other hand, the qualitative analysis is also done to compensate the uantitative analysis through the qualitative questionnaire and portfolio. The results of this study were as follows:First, the development of curriculum design model was based on the theory of multicultural education. Second, the post-test is more effective in promoting the multicultural understanding compared with the pre-test. Third, students is concerned and interested in the traditional culture of the daily-life. And, they presented positive attitude and participation toward multicultural understanding. So, the multicultural learning program was showed to promote active learning participation and various action. In conclusion, the multicultural education program has a positive effect on pre-test and post-test of elementary school students. It is demanded that more intensive research on this study should be done, linking with teaching and learning method, as a follow-up activity.
