본 연구는 다중지능이론에 기초하여 개발된 과학 교수‧학습 방안이 초등학생들의 과학학습동기및 과학적 태도, 과학탐구기능에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 서울특별시 강남구 D 초등학교 4학년 실험반에는 개발된 과학 교수ㆍ학습 방안을 10차시 적용하였고, 비교반은 일반적인 과학 수업을 실시하였다. 실험반 학생들 중 학업성취도 수준과 다중지능 경향을 고려하여 선정된 6명의 집중관찰그룹에 대한 면담 및 수업자 관찰을 실시하였다. 다중지능이론에 기초한 과학 교수ㆍ학습방안은 학생들에게 다양한 형태의 과학 학습 활동의 기회를 제공함으로써 과학학습동기 및 과학적 태도를 향상시켰으며 과학 학습에 대하여 긍정적인 태도를 갖게 함을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aimed to develop and apply the science teaching-learning method based on the multiple intelligence theory, to verify the effects of that method on science learning motivation,scientific attitude, scientific process skill. To do this, the method was applied to the elementary 4th grade students. The experimental group participated in 10 sessions of science education based on the multiple intelligence theory while the comparative group learned by the ordinary science teaching method. The results supported the hypotheses of this study that the science education based on the Multiple Intelligence Theory developed science learning motivation and scientific attitude by providing opportunity to experience various activities to students.
