Abstract

Symbols play a fundamental role in manifestation of human's conscience and ideals and that’s why human beings since early time have been very intimate with symbolic tales and stories and have been marling use of them for conveying their purposes indirectly. The purposes and elevated instructions of sages and philosophers have been occasionally the reason for spectacular transformation among the field of speculation of human being and conveying these speculations has not been possible except to tile method that they had adopted. To express elevated mystic motifs is not possible except with intuition, it is posed with the style of mystical allegory and among many storytellers maybe the name of "Molana Jallaledin Balkhi" is brightening and the reason of this superiority is not anything except his skills in usage of this useful means for conveying his mystic speculations. In this article in order to clarify our claim we analyse the story of "the king and the handmaid (Shah and Kanizak)" the first symbolic story of "Massnavi" as a sample of the whole work.
