Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the work-life balance organizational culture perceived by individuals on adaptive performance and to verify the mediating effect of job engagement. This study was conducted on the headquarters and branches of large corporations located in Incheon, Seoul, and Gyeonggi-do, and a total of 259 survey members were used for the study. First, the work-life balance organizational culture has a statistically significant positive(+) relationship between job engagement and adapative performance. Second, job engagement partially mediated the relationship between work-life balance organizational culture and adaptive performance. In other words, the greater the degree of work-life balance organizational culture perceived by individuals in the organization, the higher the job engagement, so that they will acquire professional knowledge and skills in their field of work, and it can be expected that adaptive performance to change will increase. Therefore, the organization needs to respect the personal lives of the members of the organization other than the work of the organization so that the members of the organization can be highly aware of the work-life balance organizational culture within the organization, and it is necessary to systematically guarantee this.
