초기 학업탄력성 집단의 특성 및 변화 추이 분석: 경기도를 중심으로

본 연구는 사회경제적 지위가 낮은 계층의 학생 중 우수한 학업성취를 나타내는 학생집단을 학업탄력성 집단으로 설정하고 이 학생들의 특징과 영향요인, 그리고 성장 양상을 분석하였다. 분석자료는 경기교육종단연구 4~7차년도 데이터를 사용하였고, 분석대상은 중1부터 고1까지 총 2,698명의 학생이며, 분석 방법은 t-검정, 상관분석, 로지스틱 다층모형, 성장혼합모형 등을 사용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회경제적 지위가 낮지만 학업성취가 높은 학업탄력성 집단과 그렇지 못한 취약계층 집단 간의 특성 차이를 살펴본 결과 교과태도, 교과효능감, 교과흥미, 수업집중, 학습자 중심수업 등 개인 특성 변수는 학업탄력성집단이 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초기 학업탄력성 집단에 포함될 확률에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 살펴 본 결과, 교과효능감, 수업집중 정도가 높을수록, 교과흥미는 낮을수록 초기 학업탄력성 집단에 속할 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초기 학업탄력성을 가지는 학생들은 각각 어떠한 형태의 변화 유형이 존재하는지 살펴본 결과, 4년 내내 우수한 학업성취를 유지하는 학생은 매우 적었으며 이 집단은 고등학교 입학 후 성취도가 급감하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics, influencing factors, and growth patterns of students with academic resilience. The analysis data were utilized from 2,698 students data of 「Gyeonggi Education Panel Study: GEPS 2012 (2015-2018)」 conducted by Gyeonggi Institute of Education, and t-test, correlation, logistic multi-level models, and growth mixture models analysis were used. The results were as follows. First, the results showed that individual characteristic variables, such as academic attitude, learning efficacy, subject interest, concentration of classes, and learner-centered classes, were found to be statistically high in academic resilience groups. Second, the higher the degree of effectiveness and concentration of classes, the lower the rate of subject interest, the more likely it was to belong to the early academic resilience group. Third, students with early academic resilience looked at what types of changes exist and found that very few students maintained excellent academic performance throughout the four years. Also, this group showed a sharp drop in performance after entering a high school.
