아동의 심리적 불안감을 낮추는 아동 의료기기 감성디자인 사례 연구

Abstract

Background: Although a variety of medical services have been improved along with the development of medical industry, children's psychological perspective on use of medical equipment has not been adequately improved, so it needs to seek for possible application of the emotional design, a measure to reduce their psychological anxiety, to medical equipment. Methods: For this study, the concept of children's anxiety and anxious factors in hospitals were learned through previous studies. In addition, this study considered meaning of the emotional design based on literatures and searched for availability of medical equipment by understanding and systematizing emotion-intervened factors. Then, it verified them of the emotional design by analyzing cases of the development of it. Result: It was found that the higher the intervention step of emotional factors, as the interaction between equipment and patients was promoted, by drawing three emotion-intervened factors such as sense experience, and sympathy, all of which are serial steps inducing emotional responses, and therefore, examining whether equipment has been previously applied to the emotional design. This result indicates that child patients' psychological anxiety can be alleviated. Conclusion: The application of medical equipment to the emotional design may contribute to proper treatments, by reducing children's psychological anxiety. To this end, the interaction leading to attractive outward appearance and experience and serial application of factors inducing sympathy are determined to be necessary.
