일본 속담(諺)속의 동물조합

본고에서는 한 마리의 동물이 등장하는 속담 말고, 두 마리 이상의 동물이 동시에 등장하는 동물조합속담에 대해 살펴보았다. 그리고 본 고찰을 통해 동물조합의 방법과 변용양상의 몇 가지 특징들을 알게 되었다. 먼저, 조합방법에 있어서 미타테(見立て)와 언어유희(言語遊戯)가 동물과 동물을 연상 연결하는 방법적 요소로 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 두 번째로, 변용양상에 있어서, 등장동물의 변용, 속담의 복합과 분리, 등장동물의 추가와 같은 세 가지 패턴이 확인되었다. 등장동물의 변용에서는, 중국에서 비롯된 원래속담속의 두 동물이 일본속담에서는 전혀 엉뚱한 다른 동물들로 바뀌는 이유를 검토하였다. 속담의 복합과 분리에서는, 두 개의 동물속담이 하나로 합쳐져서 1대 1 조합이 되고, 이런 동물조합 속담끼리 다시 합쳐져 2대 2조합이 되는 속담의 복합과, 네 마리가 다시 두 마리로 줄어드는 속담의 분리(재생성) 양상을 확인하였다. 끝으로 등장동물의 추가에서는, 두 마리가 등장하는 속담이 세 마리 패턴으로 바뀌는 양상에 대해 살펴보았다.
Abstract
In this paper I tried to examine the transformation of features and embodiment of the method of assortment of animals that seems to Japanese Proverbs. As a result, it found that the assortment of animal was born by the using of associative linking (mitate) and the play on words in animal’s assortment. Moreover, it has found that there are three patterns as a feature of the transformation. The first is that there is existed the changing of animals, new animals come into the proverb, and the native animals of proverb get out. In other words, the conventional new two animals assortment pattern was derived. Second, animal’s assortment proverbs derived by that this animal’s proverb and that animal’s proverb are combined. or this two animal’s assortment proverb combined with that two animal’s thing. Some cases is obtained by playing a new two-party pattern by again separating it. The third, there are three animal’s pattern which is derived from the wo parties pattern.
