『幽明錄』의 사랑·혼인 관련 이야기에 반영된 六朝時期 사회풍조와 여성형상

Abstract

Since stories with a variety of themes are written using abundant materials in the Weird Fictions(志怪小說) You Ming Lu(『幽明錄』) which represents Southern Dynasties, they allow one to examine the social climate, values and female images of Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. In particular, this dissertation made an analysis of what was written focusing on these stories as the stories related to love and marriage of 『You Ming Lu』 directly reflect lifestyles and mentality of people in those days who had to live unstable lives in the troubled era of Six Dynasties. 「劉晨·阮肇」 and 「黃原」 is a typical work of a love and marriage story between ‘The God(神) and human.’ Longing for love and marriage pursued by people in Six Dynasties was reflected in the marriage story between a goddess and a common human male in the other world: Longing for love and marriage of people in those days which was difficult to realize in an unstable real world, was embodied in the imagined space using an image of an ideal woman in the other world. 「淳于矜」 and 「常醜奴」 is a typical work of a love and marriage story between ‘The monster and human.’ While men in the story are seen to be cold-hearted killing or exorcising women after knowing that the women who had been targets of their love are proved to be monsters, the women are portrayed as tragic female images who are obedient rather than taking revenge, which indicates that social Confucian values in those days are reflected in the work. 「賣胡粉女」 and 「龐阿」 is a typical work of a love and marriage story between ‘human and human.’ A progressive female image is reflected in the image of a girl who sells cosmetics being active in loving someone and freely expressing her opinions without hesitation. It’s possible to see a progressive female image also in Mr. Seok’s daughter who was actively trying to win love even using a way of ‘soul leaving from body’ and did not give up loving Banga until the end. It can be said that mentality of people in Six Dynasties who were eager for free love and marriage getting out of wedding customs in those day which were supported by their parents was expressed through Mr. Seok’s daughter and an image of a progressive girl selling cosmetics.
