The domestic violence is that one party of domestic member commitsviolence against another party, inflicts personal injury also emotional pain,sexual abuse by assaulting confining injuring, restraining personal freedom. In the past, people thought that low-level culture caused the domesticviolence, but as our society and economy progress, a new trend is comingup in domestic violence these days. For example the domestic violenceoccurs in the high-educated people and among them mental pressuretype of domestic violence takes first place. Besides domestic violenceoccurs frequently in the reconstituted families. This phenomenon is caused by dissimilarity in character like patriarchalattitude, distrust of man and wife, extramarital of husband, life habit likedrinking and gambling, absence or incomplete of law against domestic violence. Up to now, China doesn’t have specialized law against domesticviolence and if aught there be, details of laws are absurd. Due to diversecause, domestic violence phenomenon is not completely removed. Thisproblem must be solved by legislation which includes punishment ofoffender and remedy of victim. By doing this, we can make our familypeaceful and our civilized society properly protected.
