한‧중 FTA 이후 대구‧경북지역 부품소재산업의 경쟁력 제고 방안에 관한 연구

대구경북지역의 부품소재산업의 대내외 경쟁력을 분석한 결과 가장경쟁력이 높은 산업은 자동차부품산업과 조립금속산업이고, 잠재력이높은 산업은 일반기계, 고무 및 플라스틱 산업이었다. 섬유소재산업의경쟁력은 지역경제에서 차지하는 비중이 점점 줄어들었고, 미래성장동력으로 주목받고 있는 의료산업은 아직 지역경제에서 차지하는 비중이낮았다. 지금까지 대 ․ 경 지역의 부품소재 산업 정책은 최첨단 기술의 개발에초점이 맞춰져 있었다. 한 ․ 중간의 산업 협력을 고려하면 첨단 기술과 함께 중국 현지에서 경쟁력을 갖는 기술의 개발도 함께 요구된다. 한 ․ 중FTA로 지역 기업의 중국 진출뿐만 아니라 중국 기업의 투자 역시 이전보다는 활발해질 가능성이 있다. 대 ․ 경 지역의 산업은 실험적인 첨단기술보다는 실용적인 기술 개발에 더 적합하다. 지역 부품소재산업이 중국기업과 시장에서 필요로 하는 저비용 혁신 제품을 개발할 수 있도록 지자체 차원에서의 정책적 노력이 필요하다.
Abstract
From analyzing the national and international competitiveness of components and material industries of Daegu and Kyeong-buk province, it could be said that the most competitive are the auto parts, and fabricated metal industries and the industries that have the most potential are the general machinery part, rubber and plastics industries. The competitiveness of textile materials have been decreasing overtime in the region’s economy and medical device which is considered the future’s booster for growth has not been big in the region. What is needed, to improve component material industries in Daegu and Kyeong-buk privince, is not an industrial catch-up strategy, but develop in technology of local industries that have comparative advantage. In other words, it is needed not to change the main industries but to engage technical gaps between transnational companies.
