초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a method of the residents’ participation for sustainable tourism policy. Particularly, This study explored different types of residents’ perceptions in sustainable tourism policy. To achieve this goal, quantitative research methodology was designed, two-step cluster analysis were applied as technical methods. Data were collected from 295 Suncheon’s residents in June, 2011. The findings showed that Groups by residents’ perception with gender and income level using two-step cluster analysis also were classified into men's middle class in-between perception group(group Ⅰ), men's higher income high-perception group(group Ⅱ), women's higher income low-perception group(group Ⅲ) and women's middle class in-between perception group(group Ⅲ). The four groups of residents by perception with gender and income level indicated differences in participation in sustainable tourism policy process.

Abstract
