초연구 사업 지원의 중요성을 공유하고, 지속적인 투자의 필요성을 공감하기 위하여 기초연구의 다양한 파급효과 분석 시도는 매우 중요하다. 그러나 비경제적 측면인 사회적 파급효과에 대한 연구가 부족는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구는 Salter and Martin(2001)이 제시한 기초연구가 가져오는 영향 중 네트워크 형성과 상호작용 촉진에 주목하여, 이를 추정하기 위한 분석틀인 altmetrics를 활용하였다. altmetrics는 소셜미디어를 포함한 온라인 플랫폼에서 언급된 논문을 실시간으로 계량화하여 연구성과의 영향력을 파악하는 도구이다. 이를 통해 우리나라의 정부지원 기초연구 성과의 사회적 영향력을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석대상은 우리나라 국가연구개발사업 중 기초연구사업이다. 분석결과, 기초연구사업의 SCI 논문성과의 확산 및 공유 정도는 국가 R&D사업 전체 논문성과에 비하여 상대적으로 높게 나타난 것을 확인하였다.
Abstract
In order to share the importance of supporting basic research projects and to understand the need for continuous investment, attempts to analyze the social effects of basic research are very important. However, the research on aspects of social effects is insufficient. Therefore, focused on network formation and social interaction among the social effects of the basic research presented by Salter and Martin(2001), this study used an 'Altmetrics', an analytical framework for estimating the social interaction. the altmetrics is a method of quantifying the influence of research results at the article level by using social media. subjects of analysis were articles that came from Korean national basic R&D projects and non-basic R&D projects. As a result, the degree of diffusion effect at SCI articles from the basic R&D project was higher than that of non-basic R&D projects.
