This paper reviews the history of the rules about Abuse of Market Dominant Positions in Korea, and the contents of regulations and, by extension, of the judgement cases based on existing law. The Korea Fair Trade Act was enacted in 1980 and almost no change to prohibition on abuse of market dominant position over the next 35 years. This paper will introduce the regulations system on abuse of market dominant position and the evolution comprehensively. Besides, the types of abuse, the principles of criterion, the sanctions and the mainly cases will be introduced in detail in this paper.
Abstract
