초록

This research investigates the factors influencing early-stage entrepreneurial intentions within the agricultural sector across Asian nations. Using data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), this study examines how perceived opportunities, perceived capabilities, perceived innovation, and fear of failure influence agricultural entrepreneurship intentions. Correlation analysis and regression models were used to analyze the data. The results reveal a significant correlation between perceived capabilities, perceived opportunities, and early-stage agricultural entrepreneurship. Notably, fear of failure or innovation did not significantly influence engagement in agri-entrepreneurial intentions. This study suggests that entrepreneurial intentions in Asia’s agricultural sector are driven by opportunity perception and self-efficacy, linked to perceived opportunities and capabilities. In light of these findings, this study seeks to contribute reflections on support policies and practices for agricultural entrepreneurship in the Asian agricultural sector, by considering individuals’ perceptions of opportunity and capability.
