본 연구는 원예치료가 독거노인의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 조사하였다. 원예치료 실시 전후 생활만족도의 평가결과, 대조군은 65.2점에서 58.6점으로 낮아졌으나, 실험군은 원예치료 실시 전 50.5점에서 실시 후 59.7점으로 9.2점 향상되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 대상자별 생활만족도의 변화를 살펴보면 대상자 B2를 제외하고는 모든 대상자들의 생활만족도가 원예치료를 통해 향상되었다. 원예치료 실시 전후 우리성의 평가결과, 대조군은 84.4점에서 74.7점으로 낮아졌으나, 실험군은 원예치료 실시 전 70.1점에서 실시 후 83.6점으로 15.5점이나 향상되는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 특히, 배려 항목의 경우 다른 항목 즉 친밀감, 속박감, 정에 비해서 가장 많이 향상되었다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to clarify the effect of horticultural therapy on the life satisfaction of the elderly living alone in welfare facility in Daegu from April till June. In life satisfaction, there were difference between pre- and post-horticultural therapy program in the control group and in the activity group, the control group's life satisfaction level was decreased with 6.6 but the activity group's level improved with 9.2. Life satisfaction level of each clients was improved but not B2 client. In We-ness, there were difference between pre- and post-horticultural therapy program in the control group and in the activity group, the control group's We-ness level was decreased with 9.7 but the activity group's level improved with 15.5. Especially in consideration was highest among all item such as intimacy, restraint, consideration and affection.
