검정소 검정돈의 경제형질에 대한 개량추세와 환경적인 요인분석에 관한 연구

본 연구는 2000년부터 2004년까지 5년 동안 대한양돈협회 공인 제1, 제2종돈능력검정소에서 검정이 완료된 Duroc종, Landrace종, Yorkshire종의 3개 품종 19,575두를 대상으로 돼지의 주요 경제 형질인 일당증체량, 등지방두께, 90kg 도달일령, 사료요구율, 정육율 및 선발지수에 대한 개량추세와 환경적인 요인을 분석하였다. 품종의 효과에 있어서 선발지수를 제외한 모든 형질에 있어 유의성이 있었는데, 일당증체량과 90kg 도달일령은 듀록종이 가장 우수하였고, 그 다음이 랜드레이스, 요크셔종 순으로 나타났다. 조사된 모든 형질에 있어 검정 연도 간에 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 일당증체량의 경우 연도가 경과함에 따라 점점 우수해지는 경향을 보였다. 90kg 도달일령은 2000년도에 139.73±0.218일로 가장 불량하였으나, 2003년 이후 다소 짧아진 것으로 나타났다. 각 형질별 개량추세를 보면 등지방두께를 제외한 일당증체량과 사료요구율 및 90kg 도달일령은 매년 높은 수준으로 개량되고 있으며, 특히 등지방두께는 최근 우리 국민의 고품질 우수 돈육 수요와 사육농가의 모돈 내구성 요구에 의해 오히려 두꺼운 방향으로 개량이 요구되고 있다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the improvement trend and environmental factors for major economic traits on average daily gain(ADG), backfat thickness(BF), Age at 90kg, feed conversion(FC), lean percent(LP), and selection index of 19,575 heads of the Duroc, Landrace, and Yorkshire breeds which had been tested in the KSA-authorized 1st and 2nd swine testing stations for five years from 2000 to 2004. There were significant differences among the breeds for all traits except selection index. The ADG and Age at 90kg of Duroc were the best at 1030.66±1.513g and 136.12±0.170 days, and those of Yorkshire were the worst at 996.20±1.322g and 139.37±0.148 days. All traits showed significant differences by birth year. ADG tended to get better progressively over the birth years. Age at 90kg was the longest in 2000 at 139.73±0.218 days, but shortened a little after 2003.
