본 연구는 사범대학교에서 교육공학 수업을 수강하고 있는 예비교사 357명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 테크놀러지 활용 능력을 측정하고, 한국과 미국 예비교사를 위한 토론 블로그를 개설하여 테크놀러지 활용에 대한 인식도를 비교 하였다. 또한 참여 학생들이 수강한 과목의 내용을 비교하여 인식도 차이의 원인을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 우리나라 예비교사들의 컴퓨터 활용 능력은 비교적 낮은 것으로 나타났고, 한국과 미국 두 집단의 비교에서 테크놀러지 활용에 대한 인식도에서 커다란 차이를 나타내었다. 인식도의 차이는 수업방법과 내용의 차이에서 비롯된 것으로 해석되었다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 경쟁력 있는 교사를 양성하기 국가차원에서 예비교사를 위한 ICT 활용 능력에 대한 기준과 지침을 마련해야 하는 필요성에 대하여 논의 하였다.
Abstract
Competencies and Perceptions of PreserviceTeachers in Integrating Technology into the Curriculum The purposes of this paper were to examine the competencies and perceptions of preservice teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum. In particular, the students' perceptions were compared with the students' from a university in the USA. In order to measure the technology competencies, the survey was conducted with 375 preservice teachers who were enrolled in the educational technology courses at a southen university in Korea. In order to compare the perceptions, a discussion blog was created on the web and two groups of students (Korean and American) from the educational technology courses participated in the blog. They shared the experiences and ideas in integrating technology in their current or future classrooms and their conversation were analyzed. After that, the instructional technology courses were compared to seek the reasons why the perceptions of the two groups were different.
