Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to introduce the philosophy of science in order to change from students' initial mental models to scientific models. We propose strategies of classrooms of the philosophy of science through the 'Lakatosian Research Programme' and the 'Scientific Realism' to guide a framework. This study is divided into three parts. First, Why the philosophy of science is to be suggested to science education. Second, What the rationale of the strategies are? Third, What Our suggested strategies of classrooms of the philosophy of science consisted of ? In conclusively, our suggested strategies in teaching is to help students reorganize existing mental model structures or to add dimensions, and new features to existing structures for new scientific models.
