섬의 생태지리적 동질성과 이질성－신안 다도해 하의면과 신의면의 소통－

지리적으로 인접한 섬을 비교하는 것은 생태적으로나 문화적으로 유의성을 탐구하는데 필요하다. 그러나 인접 섬을 연구함에 있어서 어느 정도의 공간적 스케일에서 비교할 것인지를 결정하는 것은 연구 분야에 따라서 많이 달라질 것이다. 인접 섬은 상이한 점도 있지만, 동일한 점도 많다. 상이한 점이 오히려 타 도서에 대한 보완점으로 나타나는 경우도 있을 것이다. 신안군 다도해는 대부분 갯벌섬으로 구성되었고, 그 섬들은 서로 인접하고 있다. 이러한 인접 섬들 간의 생태적, 문화적 동질성과 이질성을 탐구함으로서 섬이 가지고 있는 고유의 정체성과 섬 사이의 소통을 이해하는데 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 지리적, 지형적으로 유사하며 인접하고 있는 신안군 하의면과 신의면의 생태적 특성과 생물문화 다양성을 비교하면서 두 섬의 이질성과 동질성을 비교하고자 하였다.
Abstract
Study on geographically-adjacent islands is meaningful to explore comparison of islands in ecologically and culturally perspectives. Deciding a certain geographical scale for island study, however, is inevitable and valuable information according to disciplines. Adjacent islands have similarity and dissimilarity in many things. Dissimilarity has important role of supplementation for similarity of each islands. Most of islands in Shinan Dadohae are composed of the tidal(flat) islands and each island had adjacent with other. Exploring ecological-cultural homogeneity and heterogeneity on the adjacent islands is helpful for understanding identity and communication of island that located in closed distance and same environmental context. In this paper, I tried to compare homogeneity and heterogeneity of islands in perspective of ecological characters and biocultural diversity in Haui-myeon and Shinui-myeon in Shinan Dadohae, Korea that have geo-morphologically closed each other.
