초록
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is an immune-mediated acquired peripheralneuropathy characterized by classic clinical features of progressive limb weakness, areflexia, and largefiber sensory loss. In most cases, the diagnosis can be confidently established by clinical and electrodiagnosticcriteria containing dem yelination features. A response to immune therapies such as corticosteroids, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasma exchange can be a supportive diagnostic feature. Inaddition to classic CIDP, a number of clinical variants of CIDP have been described and should be recognizedbecause these disorders may respond to treatment and early diagnosis and treatment can change thecourse and prognosis.
