영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육지식과 자기효능감, 양육스트레스 간의 종단적 관계

초록

본 연구는 다변량 잠재성장모형을 적용하여 어머니의 양육지식과 자기효능감, 양육스트레스의 발달 궤적에 미치는 영향력을 분석하여 어머니의 자녀양육에 있어 양육지식의 중요성을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널(Panel Study on Korean Children: PSKC) 2008년 1차부터 2010년 3차까지 자료를 활용하여 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 어머니의 양육지식과 기효능감, 양육스트레스의 발달궤적을 분석한 결과 선형적인 궤적을 보였으며, 시간이 지날수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 어머니의 양육지식은 자기효능감을 높여주고, 양육스트레스를 감소시키는데 긍정적으로 작용하고 있으며, 그 효과도 장기적으로 지속된다는 것으로 확인하였다. 이는 어머니가 실제적으로 양육에 활용할 수 있는 지식의 필요성을 보여주는 결과로 양육지식 향상을 위한 보다 실질적인 개입의 필요성이 제기된다.

Abstract

This study attempted to investigate the importance of the mothers' knowledge of child-rearing in rearing their child in infancy by analyzing the effect of mothers' knowledge of child-rearing on the developmental trajectory of self-efficacy and parenting stress through the application of the multivariate latent growth models. For this purpose, an attempt was made to analyze it by referring to data from the first data of 2008 to the 3rd data of 2010 of the Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC). As a result, the following findings were obtained: First, analysis of the effect of the mothers' knowledge of child-rearing on the developmental trajectory of self-esteem and parenting stress showed that they had the linear developmental trajectory and that it increased with the passage of time. Second, it was found that their knowledge of child-rearing had a positive effect on the enhancement of their self-esteem and the reduction of their parenting stress and that its effect lasted in a long-term period. This implies that the mothers with a child in infancy are required to have the actual knowledge of child-rearing and that there is a need for more actual intervention to improve their knowledge of child-rearing.
