초급 명사-동사 어휘망에 근거한 한국어 어휘 교육의 개선 연구

초록

정신 표상으로서의 어휘 항목은 무작위로 배열되지 않고 서로 연결된 망을 구성하는데, 의미장과 관련된 어휘망은 심리적 실재로 실험적으로 검증되었다. 이러한 어휘망은 문장에서 동사와 명사의 통합 관계를 통해 찾을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 형태 주석된 세종말뭉치에서 초급 어휘 목록에 있는 90개의 동사와 그와 공기하는 일반 명사를 자료로 검색하였다. 그리고 가장 자주 연관된 동사와 명사를 의미망으로 분석된다. 그 결과 45개의 기초 동사와 관련된 일반 명사의 27개를 선정하여 어휘망을 구성하였으며 일부 중급 또는 고급으로 불일치 수준이 평가되었다. 효과적인 어휘 교육을 위해서는 이해 가능한 입력이 반드시 필요하므로 어휘망에서 동사와 명사의 연어 관계를 기반으로 언어 교육을 위한 한국어 어휘 목록을 재설정해야 한다.

Abstract

Lexical items in mental representation are not arranged randomly but are composed of interconnected networks. Semantic networks are related to semantic fields and their psychological realities have been experimentally proven. These lexical networks can be found through syntagmatic relations between verbs and nouns in sentences. In this study, 90 verbs in a beginner’s-level vocabulary list and their co-occurring general nouns were searched in the Sejong corpus with morph-semantic annotated data. The most frequently associated verbs and nouns were analyzed as semantic networks. Consequently, a few general nouns associated with basic verbs were graded in mismatched levels as intermediate or advanced. For effective vocabulary teaching, comprehensible input is necessary. Therefore, the Korean vocabulary list for language teaching must be rearranged based on the collocational relations of verbs and nouns in lexical networks.
