Culture and religion are mutually-interrelated. Therefore, understanding Korean culture, it’s recommended to study Korean religion together with its culture. Almost Korean new religions have invented their own denominational flags which specifically symbolize each and every one of their theological doctrines. Those flags respectively represent each of their core doctrinal teachings. Therefore, studying denominational flags is a way to understand key ideas of Korean new religions. This paper intends to further deepen general understandings of Korean culture and religion through a research on those symbols which appear on each and every one of denominational flags of Korean new religions. Each of those denominational flags of Korea’s new religions has its own unique characters, but there are common factors among those denominational flags.
