학생들의 설문 조사 결과를 중심으로 한 중학교 영어 교육에서 수준별 학습의 효율성에 대한 연구
A Study on the Effectiveness of the Differentiated Instruction in the Middle School English Education: based on the student questionnaire

Abstract
It has been several years since the 7th English curriculum was implemented to the Korean EFL classrooms. The distinguishing characteristic of the 7th curriculum is differentiated learning for the achievement of individualized learning. Even though the original intention of the 7th curriculum is great, because of the operational difficulties, such as learner groupings, effective teaching method and material development for students of different English proficiency, the 7th curriculum of English was expected to encounter many problems from the very beginning. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the students, who are the recipients of the new curriculum, think about the 7th curriculum of English. In order to find out students' attitude toward the differentiated learning, a questionnaire was administered to the 199 students of a middle school, which is located in Chungchung province. Most students had negative opinions about the differentiated learning. Based on the survey results, the remedial suggestions were provided in this study.
