This study examines a new PBL curriculum that allows students to learn step-by-step how to solve problems by working on one big scenario over the course of a semester. The PBL teaching method proposed in this study is meant to give students a systematic look at problem-solving steps like analyzing the problem, coming up with hypotheses and predictions, planning how to do a task, doing the task, and judging how well it went. When this strategy was used in English pronunciation classes at the university during the first semester of 2022, it was found to be effective in enhancing students' self-directed problem-solving skills, regardless of their academic performance.
