초록
As AI tools such as ChatGPT become more common, offering both advantages and drawbacks, it is important for learners to think critically about how they use them. Effective use of these tools requires digital literacy skills, encompassing functional, higher-order thinking, social awareness, and cooperation. This case study examined 12 college EFL students in a course where ChatGPT was extensively integrated into reading and writing tasks. Data came from student reflection logs and instructional materials collected after each ChatGPT session. Using inductive content analysis and deductive thematic analysis, the study found that students were capable of identifying benefits and limitations of ChatGPT for literacy practices. Moreover, student reflection logs revealed evidence of all digital literacy skills, along with overlapping areas and an uneven emphasis across skills. Overall, this study underscored digital literacy as both a prerequisite and an outcome of AI-integrated language learning and highlighted reflective practice as a critical component of this process.
