Giovanni Boldini 작품에 나타난 아르누보 양식의 유형별 여성복식 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze bourgeoisie feminine costume in segmentalized Art-nouveau style from the late 19th century to the early 20th century through the painter Giovanni Boldini's works. The method of study is collecting his works which are bourgeoisie feminine portraits and classify the works by Art-Nouveau style which are and analyze each costume. The consequence is the changes of Art-Nouveau style which fall into four categories - abstract & symbolic style, floral & organic style, line & flat style and constructive & geometric style. They affect costumes of S-curve silhouette and hour-glass silhouette. The color and accessories of costume are also changed by Art-Nouveau style, which are delicate and gorgeous but not too exaggerate like Rococo style. Finally that is the reason why Art-Nouveau style is the best inspiration of the way to design modern style products in 20th century.
