본 연구는 청소년의 발달에 따른 견진교리서 개발을 위한 기초 자료를 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 본고에서는 우선 입문성사로서 견진성사의 위치와견진성사 나이에 대한 쟁점을 살펴보고 중기 청소년을 대상으로 한 견진교리서의 필요성을 제기하였다. 이어서 각 교구에서 발간한 청소년 견진 교리서를 살펴보고 한계점을 제시한다. 이후 청소년기 발달과정을 다섯 가지로유형화하였다. 각 유형의 핵심주제는 가톨릭교회 가르침과 연계(mapping)하여 수업 주제로 선정하였다. 선별된 주제를 통해 주차별 학습목표를 작성하여 10주간의 학습 성과를 완성하였다. 마지막으로 중기 청소년기의 비자발적 참여를 고려하여 학습방법에서 동기를 강화할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 청소년 사목의 맥락에서 견진성사는 청소년의 종교적 이탈을 방지하고신앙을 지속하기 위한 중요한 매개체로 볼 수 있다. 이에 청소년 발달을 고려한 견진교리서 개발을 통해 효과적이고 실용적인 종교교육의 활로를 찾을수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide foundational data for the development of a catechism book tailored to the development of adolescents. In this paper, we first examine the controversy surrounding the position and age of the rite of confirmation as an initiation rite and raise the need for a catechism book targeting mid-adolescents. We then review the existing adolescent catechism books published by various dioceses and highlight their limitations. Subsequently, we categorize the developmental process of adolescence into five types. The core themes of each type are selected as lesson topics in connection with Catholic Church teachings. This study successfully achieved learning outcomes over ten weeks by formulating weekly learning objectives based on selected topics. Additionally, in consideration of mid-adolescents’ non-voluntary participation, we proposed approaches to enhance motivation in the learning process. In the context of youth ministry, the rite of confirmation can be seen as a crucial intermediary to prevent adolescent religious disengagement and promote the continuation of faith. Thus, through the development of a catechism book that considers adolescent development, we can discover an effective and practical path for religious education.
