Kaleidoscope 이미지를 활용한 칼라 자카드 니트 디자인 개발

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to apply the kaleidoscope image to knit design and to investigate its development possibility. The research methods for this study are theoretical review of the principles and concepts of kaleidoscope through domestic and foreign literature, previous studies, and internet data, and the characteristics of design through examples applied to fashion products were examined. Using the SDS-ONE APEX3-4 program of Shima Seiki Co. Ltd. six color jacquard knit textile designs of kaleidoscopic images by mirror system, animal, plant, and mineral photographs were developed and simulation of the fake clothing was performed. For the development of patterns, actual photographs of animals, plants and minerals of nature were used. Animals are tigers, plants are flowers, and minerals are pebble stones. And color jacquard was 4 times higher than that of color. In the mirror system of kaleidoscope, square triangle, right angle triangle, free angle triangle, square were used, and the knitting gauge used 16 gauge which is a high gauge which can save the pattern well. This study is to develop the color jacquard organization of kaleidoscopic principle which gives visual beauty by repetitive pattern with unexpected regularity by utilizing SDS-ONE APEX 3-4 design system and suggest possibility of unlimited knit organization development. In addition, the computerized simulation of the developed knit textile design was intended to realize the efficiency of the process of developing various and popular knit designs.
