방랑은 일상의 잘 짜여진 그물의 밖을 향한 시선이다. 근대적 일상성의 관점에서 방랑과 여행은 가장 비판적인 역할을 수행하는 행위이자 시적 실천이다. 모든 정주성에 비추었을 때 노마디즘은 이동성과 움직임의 가치를 새롭게 조망해 준다. 노마디즘은 근대적 동일성의 가치를 비판하고 삶의 유한성을 재고하는 데 기여한다. 이런 의미에서 노마디즘은 포스트모더니즘의 가치를 내면화하고 있지만, 일상의 복합성과 다양성을 실천적으로 옹호한다는 점에서 확장성이 크다. 황동규의 1990년대 시는 그가 오랫동안 추구했던 존재론적 지평의 새로운 모습을 보여준다. 그것은 방랑의 가치를 근대성의 관점에서 해석하고 삶의 유한성을 수용하는 방법이다. 이는 ‘밖’에 대한 두 가지 사유방식으로 드러나는 바, 근대적 일상을 반성하고 죽음의 의미를 순치하는 과정이 그것이다. 1990년대 황동규 시의 특징이자 그가 열어 보인 시적 사유의 일단은 방랑의 기표를 내면화하여 노마디즘의 가치를 적극적으로 확장하려는 노력이었다.
Abstract
Wandering is a gaze toward the outside of the well-structured net of everyday life. From the perspective of modern daily life, wandering and travel are acts and poetic practices that play the most critical role. In the light of all the zooms, nomadism provides a new perspective on the value of mobility and movement. Nomadism criticizes the value of modern identity and contributes to reconsidering the finiteness of life. In this sense, nomadism internalizes postmodernism, but it is highly expandable in that it practically advocates the complexity and diversity of everyday life. Hwang Donggyu’s poems in the 1990s show a new aspect of the ontological horizon that he had long pursued. It is to interpret the value of wandering from the perspective of modernity and reach a way of accepting the finiteness of life. The two ways of thinking about ‘outside’ are the process of reflecting on modern daily life and purging the meaning of death. This is the characteristic of Hwang Donggyu’s poetry in the 1990s and one of the poetic thoughts he opened up.
