시몬 로샤의 패션에 표현된 낭만적 특성 - 2012 S/S ~ 2020 F/W 패션 컬렉션을 중심으로 -

초록

연구배경 인간의 감성과 본능, 자유로운 창조 정신을 키워드로 하는 낭만주의는 현대 패션에 무한한 영감을 전달한다. 본 연구 목적은 자신만의 감성과 비전을 기반으로 작품을 전개하고 있는 시몬 로샤의 패션을 분석하고 이에 반영된 낭만적 특성을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법 연구 방법은 문헌 연구와 컬렉션 분석의 사례 연구로 진행하였다. 첫째, 낭만주의 개념, 현대 패션과 낭만주의, 시몬 로샤의 이력과 패션 세계를 문헌 고찰하였다. 둘째, 사례 연구는 2012 S/S부터 2020 F/W까지의 컬렉션 작품을 범위로 주제와 실루엣, 색과 소재 구성, 문양, 장식 소품 등 조형적 측면을 분석하여 낭만적 특성을 도출하였다. 연구결과 시몬 로샤의 작품의 낭만적 특성은 과거 낭만주의 복식의 재해석, 아일랜드 기반의 패션 미학 추구, 자연에 대한 탐닉, 이국적 감성 표현, 자아와 여성에 관한 성찰로 나타났다. 이는 낭만주의가 추구하던 모든 특성을 패션의 언어로 전환하여 낭만주의 패션의 새로운 재창조를 제시한 것으로 디자이너만의 차별화된 미학을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 과거 낭만주의의 재현이 아닌 낭만과 현대 여성, 자신의 감정을 다채롭게 융합함으로써 브랜드 고유의 미학으로 구축하고 있는 시몬 로샤의 패션은 낭만주의 패션을 표현하는 방식에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 첨단 사회로의 발전이 가속화될수록 낭만주의에 대한 가치는 더욱 중요하게 간주 될 것으로 예측되는 가운데 앞으로 낭만주의에 대한 다각적 해석을 통해 풍부한 패션 이미지가 전개되기를 기대한다.

Abstract

Background Romanticism with such keywords as human emotion, instinct and a sense of free creativity conveys a limitless inspiration to modern fashion. This study aims to analyze the Simone Rocha's fashion works unfolding her own emotion and vision and explore the romantic characteristics in them. Methods As research method, literature review and case study about collection analysis were chosen. Firstly, literature was screened about concept of romanticism, correlation between modern fashion and romanticism, Simone Rocha's personal history and fashion world. Secondly, collections from 2012 S/S to 2020 F/W were picked as case study. Then, romantic features were deduced through analysis on formative aspect about material composition, pattern, and ornamental props. Result Romantic feature in Simone Rocha's work has the following characteristics: reinterpretation of past romanticism costume, pursuit of Ireland-based fashion aesthetics, indulgence in nature, expression of exotic sense, and introspection of self and woman. This implies that all characteristics sought by romanticism turn to fashion language and that these generate a brand-new romantic fashion, assisting to recognize differentiated aesthetics. Conclusion Simone Rocha's fashion does not just repeat the past romanticism but fuse the romance with manifold modern woman's and her emotion. By doing so, her fashion built with brand's unique aesthetics would aid in expressing the way of romanticism fashion. With accelerated advance toward the state-of-the-art society, the romanticism value would be regarded more important. Amid this circumstance, the fashion image would become rich in quality and quantity through various assessment about it.
