Abstract
The principal reason why North Korea has developed its nuclear program is to dominate South Korea militarily. North Korean nuclear program is not intended for negotiation with the United States of America which allegedly has been threatening survival of the North Korean regime. North Korea has been buying time through negotiations and it has been successful so far in its effort in this fourth round, too. Neocons and others in U.S. now think that time is limited and suggest that U.S. should be willing to use all the necessary measures including military options, should North Korea cross the red lines. Not only for our security but also for the cause of peace and stability of Northeast Asia and the world, North Korean nuclear development program must be deterred. We need to re-strengthen the traditional ties with U.S. and cooperate closely with U.S. to enhance our national security.
