본 논문은 한국사회에 나타난 갑을관계의 정치학과 노동영화의 개념을 중심으로 노동영화를 살펴보고 있다. 노동영화에서 그려진 갑과을의 모습을 불공평한 헤게모니적 관계로 인식하고 이에 대한 을의 저항과 투쟁을 담아내고 있다. 세계 최초의 영화는 노동자의 삶을 그린 영화다. 뤼미에르 형제의<공장을 나서는 노동자들>은 갑의 입장에서 을을 바라보고 있는 노동영화다. 비록 <공장을 나서는 노동자들>은 갑과 을의 패러다임을 인위적으로 설정하려는 의도는 확인할 길은 없지만, 최초의 노동영화가노동자가 아닌 고용주에 의해 만들어졌다는 사실은 현재 노동영화와다른 시선을 보여주고 있다. <또 하나의 약속>처럼 수많은 영화에서 갑의 횡포에 대해 끊임없이다루어왔지만, 갑의 위치는 더욱 공고해지고 있다. 자본의 논리 앞에노동자의 인권은 더욱 악화되고 있으며, 근본적으로 한국적 갑을관계의 개선이 사회제도의 개선뿐만 아니라 법률적인 기반도 조성되어야함을 역설하고 있는 것이다. 이처럼 노동 현장의 구조적 문제를 개인차원에서 노동자에게 전가하고 있음을 노동영화는 다시 한 번 지적하고 있다.
Abstract
This paper explores labour films in relation to the politics ofBoss-Subordinate Relations in Korean society. Boss and subordinate inthe labour films have an unfair hegemonic relationship, so a number ofsubordinates show their resistance and struggle against their boss andcompany. It is very interesting that the world's first film depicts the life ofthe workers in the factory. Lumiere brothers' Employees Leaving theLumiere Factory (1895) is a unique labour film illustrating factoryworkers. Even though it is short, we could not confirm that this filmdepicts Boss-Subordinate Relations deliberately. However, it ismeaningful to see that the first labour film made by employers notemployees. Many labour films like Another Family (2013) have constantlyaddressed the problems in their workplaces; Boss-Subordinate Relationsare never changed. Fundamentally to improve the relationship inKorean society, it is essential to the improvement of the legal system. As a result, these labour films have pointed out labourers take the socialdilemma as an individual level for a while.
