소백산지 남동사면 산록대 지역의 지형 특색 - 상주~안동 일대를 중심으로 -

본 연구의 목적은 상주~안동 일대의 동-서로 펼쳐진 소백산지 남동사면 산록대의 지형 특색을 기술하고, 이를 바탕으로 연구지역의 지형발달 양상을 파악하려는 것이다. 이 지역은 구조·암석·기후지형학 관점에서 흥미로운 곳으로, DEM 지도를 이용한 선구조 분석 및 야외답사 등의 방법을 통해 조사한 결과가 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 연구지역의 동-서 방향성은 고경상분지의 변형과정에 형성된 안동단층계와 밀접한 관련이 있고, 이를 형성한 내적작용은 연구지역의 거시적인 방향 뿐 아니라 하계망에도 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 암석에 따라 풍화특성과 사면발달 양상이 다르게 나타나고 있고, 이러한 특성은 하곡의 규모와 하천차수에도 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 연구지역에는 지난 빙기에 결빙작용이 풍화를 주도한 흔적이 다수 나타난다. 넷째, 연구지역은 소백산지 내부 지역과, 산록대의 넓은 평야와 구릉대, 그리고 낙동강 본류 지역이 대상으로 발달하면서 습도환경에 따라 지형 특색의 차이를 보이고 있다.
Abstract
This work is to describe geomorphological traits of Andong Fault Zone of the south-eastern piedmont zone of Sobaek Range. And then it attempted to elucidate the type of landform set and geomorphological development. In geomorphological viewpoint this study area manifests particular interests not only in morpho-tectonic aspect but also in the morpho-climatic. The major results could be summarized as the followings, by appling a set of method and techniques; field survey, analysis of 3-D image assisted by GIS methods and etc. Firstly, there is a close correlation between the E-W lineament of this research area and Andong Fault Zone. Fault activities had influences on the orientation of large valley and plains and channel network of this area. Secondly, research area having various kind of rocks, there are different patterns of relief and slope development feature according to weathering property and it is tied up with valley forms. Thirdly, periglacial cryogenic processes had played important roles in the morphogenetic system in this area. Lastly, research area extending E-W direction shows the variation of geomorpological characteristics according to pedo-humidity milieu.
