교육목회에 있어 교사의 자질과 역할에 관한 연구

초록

교육목회가 의도하려는 것은 목회가 교육, 즉 기독교 교육에 기초해야 한다는 것이다. 교육에 기초하지 않는 목회, 즉 교육의 도움을 통하지 않는 목회는 현재와 미래를 가진 목회라고 할 수 없다. 기독교교육이란 주님의 역사를 주님의 방법으로 행하는 일이며, 따라서 주님께서 필요를 충족시켜 주신다는 것을 확신하는 일이다. 기독교교육이란 거룩하신 교사이신 삼위 하나님이 어떻게 역사하시는가를 발견하고 인간 교사가 하나님과 함께 역사하는 일이다. 그것은 하나님의 말씀에 의하여 인생의 모든 분야가 다른 것으로 다시 만들어지는 일이다. 본 논문에서는 교육목회에 대한 이해에 대하여 논의하고, 이어 교육목회와 교사로서의 삼위 하나님, 즉 교사로서의 하나님, 교사로서의 예수님, 교사로서의 성령님에 대해 다루었다. 계속하여 인간 교사의 문제들로 교육목회에 있어 교사로서의 목사, 기독교교사의 지위와 자질, 기독교교사의 역할, 기독교 교사훈련의 내용에 대하여 살펴보았다. 교육목회에 있어 교사의 자질과 역할에 대한 이해는 매우 중요하다. 오늘날 기독교 교육은 그 의미와 가치가 날로 새롭게 인식되고 이해될 뿐 아니라 그 과제 또한 더욱 새롭게 요구되는 상황에 처해 있다. 그것은 현대 사회가 더욱 다양하고 다원적인 사회로 변화해 가는 가운데 있으며 그 변화를 올바른 변화로 이끌어야 할 책임이 목회자들과 교사들에게 주어져 있고, 그 방편은 교육에 있다. 그 때문에 우리의 목회사역은 교육의 힘과 그 기능적인 역할을 절대적으로 필요로 하는 상황에 있다. 교육목회의 구체적 실천을 위해 이를 최전선에서 지휘하는 목회자의 자질과 역할은 물론 교회의 모든 교사들의 자질과 역할 또한 매우 중요하다. 그래서 소명감 있고 헌신적인 교사를 양성하는 것은 교사의 변화와 성장에 그치는 것이 아니라 학생의 변화와 성장에 영향을 끼치며 교회학교를 활성화시키고 부흥시켜 교회의 성장을 가져올 수 있게 하는 원동력이 된다.

Abstract

What educational ministry intends is that the ministry has to be based on education, especially Christian education. Any pastoral ministry that neither starts from education nor gets helped by education is seemingly a ministry without present and future. Christian education is the ministry that we work according to the manner of the Lord, and this fact lets us firmly believe that the Lord meets our need. Therefore, Christian education is that human teachers find how the Triune God the holy teacher works, and participate in that process. It is the holistic change of everyday-life by the Word of God. This paper discusses educational ministry, and focuses on the work of the Triune God as the teacher, that is, God as the teacher, Jesus as the teacher, and the Holy Spirit as the teacher. And then I examine the issues of human teachers; pastors as a teacher in educational ministry, the status and qualifications of Christian teacher, the functions of Christian teacher, and the content of discipline of Christian teacher. It is very important to understand the qualifications and functions of Christian teachers. Today the meaning and values of Christian education are newly recognized and understood, and Christian teachers are seeking new paradigm and solutions. As the society is becoming more diverse and post-modern community, great responsibility is given to pastors and teachers to lead the direction of the change through the means of education. Thus, our pastoral ministry absolutely needs the strength and functional role of education. For the concrete practice of educational ministry, the qualifications and functions of all teachers in church, including the pastors who manages it in the front line, are very important. The training of devoted teachers with a sense of divine calling has an influence not only the teachers, but also the change and maturity of pupils(congregations). It becomes power to activate and revitalize church schools, and the driving force of the church growth and the expansion of the kingdom of God.
