독일의 교회교육에 대한 성찰과 제언 - 독일 기독교교육학자들의 관점을 중심으로 -

초록

“교회교육(Gemeindepädagogik)”이라는 용어는 독일의 기독교교육적인 관점에서 정식으로 개념이 성립 된 것은 그렇게 오래된 것이 아니다. 교회교육과의 관계에 있어서 서독에서 뿐 만 아니라 동독에서도 처음으로 직업적인 의미로 교회교육자라는 말을 사용한 것이 이를 증명한다고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 독일의 기독교교육학에 있어서 “교회교육”은 교회적이고 기독교교육적인 성찰과 더불어 지난 반세기 동안 교회적으로 그리고 기독교교육학적으로 빠르게 논의되어진 개념이다. 독일의 교회교육의 개념은 수많은 교회 교육적인 교육양성소들과 교회교육자의 새로운 교회적인 직업의 설립을 가리키는 교회적 실천의 의미이다. 이러한 교회교육의 신속하고 실제적인 발전에 비하여 “교회교육”의 개념에 대한 연구는 아직도 부족 한 것으로 인식되어진 상태이다. 이것에 대하여 매우 중요한 관점들과 그리고 좋은 제안이 있음에도 불구하고 “복음과의 의사소통”에 있어서, 기독교의 이론과 교회의 현대적인 상황 연결에 있어서 폭 넓게 학문적으로 자극을 주는 문제제기가 그렇게 충분하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 그 이유는 교회교육은 통일된 독일에서 근본적으로 계속 진행되고 있는 전통관습의 해체를 통하여 또한 인간의 실존 지향적인 것과 가치 지향적인 영역에서 인간의 본질적인 행동결단을 위한 변화에 의하여 특징 지워질 수 있기 때문이다. 오늘날 독일에 있어서 교회와 기독교 신앙을 위한 상황 묘사가 두드러지게 나타나고 있고 그리고 또한 이것과 더불어 기독교 신앙을 구체적으로 형상화해야만 하는 과제를 안고 있는데, 이 과제는 기독교인, 비기독교인 심지어는 기독교를 적대시하는 적대자들을 위하여서도 동등하게 기독교 신앙의 개념을 올바로 파악할 수 있는 과업을 이루어야만 하고, 또한 이것은 다양한 연령층의 사람들과 남녀를 불구하고 상이한 학력과 혈통을 지닌 사람들 그리고 서로 다른 삶의 모양을 가지고 서로 다양하게 살아가는 사람들을 포함하여 모두에게 개방되어 있어야하며 그러면서 동시에 내용적으로는 명백하고 매력 있게 접근되어야 하는 과업을 의미한다. 이러한 독일 교회교육의 이해와 함께 한국교회 역시 마찬가지로 교회교육에 대해서 많은 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 이와 더불어 이 연구로 인한 논의도 계속적으로 진행되어 한국교회 역시도 실제적인 교회교육이 이루어지기를 바라마지 않는다.

Abstract

It has not been very long since the term “church education” was officially established in terms of Christian education in Germany. This is proved by the fact that the term church educator was first used in the occupational sense in not only West but also East Germany in relation to Church education. Therefore, in Christian education of Germany, "church education" is a concept that has been hastily discussed and reflected in terms of church and Christian education for the last half century. The concept of church education in Germany indicates ecclesiastical practice, which refers to the establishment of countless church educational institutions and new ecclesiastical occupations of church educators. Compared to such rapid and actual development of church education, there is still insufficient research on the concept of "church education." Despite the significant perspectives and good suggestions, there is a lack of issues that broadly and academically stimulate the contemporary situational connection of theories and church of Christianity. This is because church education can be characterized by the changes in the fundamental human behavioral decisions in terms of existence and value-oriented fields through the dissolution of traditional customs that are fundamentally carried forward in unified Germany. The description of the context for church and Christianity is apparent in Germany today, which also has the task of having to specifically embody Christian belief. This task requires proper understanding of the concept of Christianity, equally with Christians, non-Christians and even antagonists of Christianity. This must be open to everyone, including all people living diversly with different lifestyles and academic backgrounds and blood regardless of men and women or age. At the same time, this indicates the task of having to clearly and charmingly approach the tasks in terms of content. In addition to understanding German church education, there is a need for great research on church education for Korean church as well. Moreover, there is hope for practical church education for Korean church by constantly providing discussions on such research.
