한과 콤플렉스의 병리적 비교와 상담적 대안

분석심리학자 칼 구스타프 융(1875-1961)은 인간의 심층을 과학적으로 고찰하는 데 40여년을 바쳤다. 그의 이론은 특히 인간의 기저에서 약동하는 무의식의 요소인 콤플렉스(Komplex)를 밝혀 상용화하는 데 기여하고 있다. 이 콤플렉스는 융심리학에서는 개인무의식을 대표하는데, 특히 콤플렉스는 강한 정감(Affekt)을 가지고 있다는 점에서 한국인의 심성에 있는 고유한 정서인 “한(恨)”과 유사성이 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 어떤 외국어로도 번역이 되지 않는 한국 고유의 의미를 지니고 있는 恨은 많은 한국인들의 심성에 존재하는 고유한 정서로 인정되고 있다. 이 恨은 슬픔, 어두움이기도 하며 절망이기도 하면서도 때로는 내면의 심성에 침잠(沈潛)시켜서는 안 되는, 무한한 창조적 생명력을 지닌 정신의 특성이다. 恨은 슬픔에서 기쁨으로, 어두움에서 밝음으로, 절망에서 희망으로 바꾸어질 수 있는 모든 통로(通路)를 지니고 있는 긍정적 측면과 아무것도 할 수 없는 불가능한 모든 퇴로(退路)를 지니고 있는 부정적인 측면을 동시에 가지고 있기 때문이다. 恨의 이러한 역설적인 두 모습은 불변의 양면성이라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 恨과 콤플렉스의 개념을 비교하면서 병리적인 측면인 부정적인 특성에 초점을 맞추어 문제점을 발견하고 그 치유책으로서 상담학적 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 恨과 콤플렉스는 치유되지 않으면 우울증 등 다양한 정신병을 유발시키는 원인이라는 점에서 결코 간과해서는 안 될 병리적 증상이기 때문이다.
Abstract
Psychoanalyst Carl Gustav Jung(1875-1961) spend his 40 years of life time to study the depths of human scientifically. Specially, his theory contributes to clarify complex(komplex) which is the factor of unconscious moving lively in the base of human and make it use commonly. The complex represents personal unconscious in Jung psychology. Especially it has a strong feeling(affekt). At this point, it seems to have common with ‘han' which is a peculiar emotion to Korean. Han cannot be translated into any foreign language. It has peculiar meaning to Korean. It is recognized as a unique emotion existing in the mentality of many Korean. Han is grieve, darkness and hopelessness. On the other hands, it is a mental character which has unlimited creative life force that should not be deposited at human being's inner mentality. Because it has both sides of positive having all the way which can change sadness to joy, darkness to brightness, hopeless to hope, and negative holding all the impossible retreat which can do nothing. This paradoxical two sides of han is unchangeable double face. Comparing the ideas of han and complex, it has studied to find out the problems focusing on negative character of han that is pathological side, and has suggested counseling alternative ideas as curative methods. Han and complex are the pathological symptoms that cannot be neglected. Because if han and complex do not be cured, it can cause various mental disease, for example, melancholy, etc.
