Abstract
Appropriate methods for cooperative relationships with psychology and pastoral counseling can be achieved through an understanding of human nature and the reality of death. This understanding can be improved by attempting the theologicalization of psychology centering on the Creator Lord. The cooperative relationship is not to integrate the theories in each field, but to recognize psychology as a field of social science in a mutually complementary and harmonious open posture while preserving the original methodology and content of each other, It is an attempt to reinterpret by the Bible as the Creator Lord and the Word. It is not the absorption of indiscreet psychology but the reinterpretation of the theories of psychology that deal with the nature of man, centering on the Bible as the source of all truth, and establishing the cooperation relation centered on the theology of theology. The purpose of this paper is the theologicalization of psychology. In other words, pointing out the limit of psychology that regards death as the goal of self-realization or dealing with the element of anxiety, and reestablishing the theology of eschatology as the center, it is to achieve counseling as a broader vision. It is important to know that life and death interact with one another, and that after death, the only reliable source is the resurrection. General counselors, counselors, psychotherapists, and pastoral caregivers who are unaware of this fact can not adequately respond to patients who are afraid of death. The pastoral caregiver must recognize that a person is a spiritual carer because he is a spiritual being. Those who take care of their lives should be prepared to help them in spiritual matters, feel sensitive to the work of the Spirit in seeking help for life, death, sadness, disease, anxiety, guilt, and fear of death. Pastoral care and counseling requires holistic care through life and death issues, including physical, mental, social, and spiritual dimensions, as well as the care of the soul. In this paper, I criticize the psychological point of view of human nature, summarized briefly in the theological anthropology, examined the main theories of psychology through the understanding of death, attempted the theologicalization of psychology from the viewpoint of theological eschatology I focused more on them. Furthermore, practical methodology and comprehensive research centering on the Bible as the central axis of Christianity in the integration of various theological themes and resources and methods of faith such as Bible, hymn, prayer, meditation, healing, something to do.
