초록
The analysis of the lineament is the first task to identify the active fault trace, and DEM constructed from digital topographic map and LiDAR has been mainly used. In urban areas where it is difficult to observe the original topography due to artificial deformation of the surface, lineaments are identified from the restored original topography DEM built from historic aerial photos. Unlike other countries, there has not been much discussion in Korea, about how reliable and robust DEM can be constructed from historic aerial photo in which is conducive to identifying fault-related topography and extracting lineaments in urban areas. In this study, through comparative analysis with digital topographic map-based DEMs, we evaluated how effective historic aerial photo DEMs can be in identifying any fault-related topography in the Hongseong area. Our study demonstrates the DEM built from historic aerial photos is robust and reliable in identifying tectonic lineaments that were not detected in the DEM based on the digital topographic map because any original trace of fault-related topography may have been destructed due to urbanization.
